De Lucchi was a member of the Memphis Group and has worked extensively as architect and designer for Olivetti, Alessi, Vitra and Artemide. Artemide

Artemide is the Italian lighting brand founded in 1960 by Ernesto Gismondi and Sergio Mazza in Pregnana Milanese, Lombardy, recognised for design icons featured in the permanent collections of MoMA New York, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Centre Pompidou.

The brand has produced century-defining lamps including the Tizio by Richard Sapper (1972), the Tolomeo by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina (1987, Compasso d'Oro 1989), the Callimaco by Ettore Sottsass (1982), the Eclisse by Vico Magistretti (1965 — Compasso d'Oro) and the Nesso by Giancarlo Mattioli (1965). Artemide collaborates with internationally renowned designers and architects, with manufacturing centred in northern Italy and a research-led approach to The Human and Responsible Light philosophy.

The 3D Model Unity catalog of Artemide includes high-precision NURBS 3D models for Rhinoceros 3D — floor lamps, suspension lamps, table lamps and ceiling fixtures — covering both the historical icons and contemporary collections.
