Among the free-form tables developed between 1938 and 1939, the final project was conceived in 1952 for the student rooms at Maison du Mexique in the Cité Internationale Universitaire in Paris. The structure, designed to occupy minimal space, allowed for combining multiple pieces side by side to create larger and regular-shaped compositions. In 1952, the designer replaced the wooden legs with triangular section legs made of folded sheet metal. In 1956, a low version was created for the Galerie Steph Simon in Paris.
