Designer
Quaglio Simonelli was born from the meeting of Andrea Quaglio and Manuela Simonelli, both graduates of the Reggio Emilia University of Design. Their studio is based in Paris. After their debut alongside Philippe Starck, with whom they collaborated for two years, they set up their own design studio developing an activity that extends to different fields of creative thinking that diversification is a source of creating wealth. They design technological products, create lamps, furniture, and furnishing accessories, and conceive the identity and design for cosmetic brands, alternating industrial and artisan logic. Fruit of the encounter between two sensitivities, their creations are nourished by their history, by the creative gaze they direct on the world around them, and by the mutations they love to provoke in it. Thus they conceive objects with a familiar appearance infected by unexpected and poetic elements. Numerous are the awards that reward their designs: Red Dot Product Design Award, IF Product Design Award, CES Innovation Award, HKDA Award, Kapok Prize, Étoile de l'Observeur, Janus de l'Industrie.Several of their products are now part of the collection of the National Contemporary Art Fund of the Georges Pompidou Center in Paris.
