Ernesto Gismondi

Ernesto Gismondi (1931-2020) was an Italian industrial designer and entrepreneur. He is the founder and chairman of Artemide, one of the world's leading lighting design companies, which he established in 1959. Gismondi's career has been marked by a passion for innovation and a commitment to sustainability.
Gismondi's designs are characterized by their functional simplicity and attention to detail. He has created many iconic lighting fixtures, including the "Nur" lamp, which won the prestigious Compasso d'Oro design award in 1995.
